Are caped uniforms used in any modern armed forces. IE: the Israeli Defence Force?

This photoe published today on an Israeli tank soldier appears to depict him wearing a cape. Does anyone know about the usage of capes in armed forces uniforms in modern times?

HEY, I AM A SOLDIER(14 YEARS NOW) AND I HAVE RESEARCHED SOLDIERING ALOT. THE ONLY PEOPLE I KNOW OF IN MODERN TIMES WHO WEAR CAPES ARE OFFICERS AND THEN ONLY IN A REALLY FORMAL ENVIRONMENT. WHAT COUNTRIES DO THIS EXACTLY, I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE RUSSIA AND POLAND. BUT IN COMBAT, DEFINITELY NOT. MAYBE HE DID IT FOR COMFORT FROM THE SUN OR SOMETHING. OR MAYBE THE CAMERA CAUGHT THE PICTURE AT THE MOMENT HE WAS TAKING A LONG COAT OFF OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. AMERICAN SOLDIERS USE WHAT IS KNOWN AS A PONCHO LINER FOR ALOT OF THINGS. WE ALSO USE TO USE A WET WEATHER PONCHO. THESE TWO ITEMS ARE FOR USE IN A COMBAT ENVIRONMENT, AND THEY LOOK ALOT LIKE A CAPE. IT'S QUITE POSSIBLE HE WAS WEARING ONE OF THOSE TO PROTECT HIMSELF IN SOMEWAY FROM SUN, RAIN, OR SOME ELEMENT OF BATTLE. I'M NOT 100% SURE, BUT A GOOD QUESTION. I HOPE I HAVE HELPED SOME.

No....only superman wears a cape anymore!

Interesting observation though.
The USMC has a uniform item that looks like a cape. It is called a "boat cloak" and is worn with the Marine Dress Blues on only the most formal occasions. Most officers do not even own on since they are not required. I have know only one officer that has owned one and he had to have it custom made since he could not find a manufacturer for it.
Air Force pilots are authorized to wear capes.
