We just got a used laptop with firefox and IE. links on web pages dont work. ideas?

With both browsers, we can go to a main site, like yahoo.com. But then, it won't allow us to use any links on that page. What could be causing this?

check your internet connection. if you have a router in use with your modem, check to make sure that all the correct numbers are in place in your internet connection wizard. when certain numbers are not correct, it will allow you to get to sites such as yahoo, or google's main page, but you will not be able to get to any other pages that arent cached on your computer.

Try reinstalling Firefox.

When reinstalling FF, Make sure you only get it form their official site
